The treadmill doesn't seem to be inclining. The motor works, the belt moves but when I try to incline it doesn't do anything. It does sound like it is trying ? 831295021 Weslo Treadmill

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your treadmill. Upon researching model 831295021; based on the description provide, it sounds like you may need to replace the incline motor. If you can hear the motor trying to work then the incline motor is receiving the voltage sent from the control board and a component of the motor may have failed, the treadmill uses a motor just for the incline separate from the motor that makes the unit run. I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your treadmill. You did not mention if the motor is working or not. If the motor is running, then the most likely problem is the drive belt. The drive belt is what the motor uses to turn the front roller. If the belt came off or is loose, the walking belt will not move. To check the drive belt, first unplug the treadmill from the wall. Then remove the motor hood to expose the motor. Once it is removed, inspect the belt between the motor pulley and the front roller pulley. If the belt is just loose, you will need to loosen the mounting bolts. Then pull the motor back so the belt is tight. While you holt the belt tight, have a helper tighten the mounting bolts. I also recommend performing general maintenance on the walking belt to make sure it's lubricated and adjusted properly. This video will assist you with that. If the motor is not running, then you will need to check the connections from the console to the motor controller. This is just to be sure that the motor is getting power. If it is then the motor needs to be replace. If not, then the problem could be a connection, or the console itself. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread.
