If there was a lightning strike then it's very possible that the console also took a hit from that. Under the motor hood, you should find a schematic for your treadmill. Check on the schematic and you will notice the wire harness that goes from the controller up to the console. The schematic will list which wires have what voltages on them, normally you will read voltage on a red wire and it should be about 12VDC. If you have the 12 volts on the red wire (where it plugs to console) then the console is bad. If you do not have the 12 volts at the console, check it at the controller. If you do not have it at the controller then the controller is bad. If you have the voltage at the controller (but not at the console) then the harness between the 2 is the problem.

I doing some research I have found that the motor is rated at a 2.9 horse power motor.

I will send you the copy of the manual just in case you no longer have it.
