A 9volt power supply should work for this machine. I believe there is some variance for this and 12volts would be at the limit but I'd try to keep it in the 9-10VDC range.

What amperage sir? 9 volts is only half the equation. If' i plug in a .5a power supply into a 200 ma receptacle, I'll be basted with the sweet aroma of diode/capacitor fry-age. Now we've complicated the problem immensely.

I believe it will be a 500ma. I cannot be sure of this due to there not being any kind of a spec sheet available on the adapter because it's been out of production for so long. The ones I can locate a sheet on say 9VDC at 500ma.
