Q:

Crosswalk treadmill 405 E stops running Model # 831.24633.0

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your treadmill and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 831246330 and lift the walking belt and inspect the top of the walking board and the bottom of the walking belt for wear. If the walking board and belt are not worn and do not need lubrication, the problem is probably the motor controller. If you believe the motor is functioning properly   and the belt is properly installed an lubricated, the only other components that could be causing a friction problem would be the front and back rollers. Check the rollers to see if either one has excessive friction. Here is a link for a video that may help with some troubleshooting. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Q:

Proform Treadmill 405E 831246330 Proform Pro-form crosswalk 405e

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
It sounds like the walking belt needs lubrication. That would be the first thing I would do to see if it helps with the noise. You didn't specify where the noise was emanating from, but that is the most obvious moving part and would be the most likely to be noisy if not lubricated. You could also check the motor belt to make sure it's in good shape and not stretched.
I have provided a link below that you may click on to be directed to SearsPartsDirect.com. to view the walking belt lubrication kit and purchase if needed.

The parts of the latch assembly are in the red boxes on the diagram. I have included a list of the part numbers for you. You can order the ones that are missing from our www.SearsPartsDirect.com website.

Key 2 (part number STD610807) is an 8-pack of the screws to attach the parts to the treadmill.
