Foot Pedal Replacement Straps 831219320 Proform Proform 10.8x

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about the foot pedals with straps for your Proform 10.8X Exercise Bike. I can appreciate wanting to verify the parts will fit your product before you order them. I will be happy to help you with this.

The left pedal/strap assembly part number is 134368.
The right pedal/strap assemby part number is 134367.

When verifying if the part fits your exercise bike, please use the 831219320 model number. This model number will let you access the parts list, parts diagrams and the owner's manual.

I hope this answers your questions. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Linda, Thank you for your quick response but I don't need the complete pedal assemblieswit straps just the peplacement straps for the right and left pedal. I looked at the schematic and pats list but entering the strap numbers they come up as not for this model unless I'm doing something wrong. Thanks, Tim

Thank you for the quick response and the additional information. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how you were putting in part numbers for just the straps when they are not listed under your model number. I want to verify a couple of things to make sure we are looking at the same parts.

Are you looking at the schematic and parts list on our website? On our schematic it should show the straps have the same key numbers (24 and 26) as the pedals. (This is also confirmed in the Owner's Manual.)

When you enter either of the part numbers I gave you (left - 134368, right 134367) and scroll down toward the bottom of the page, the website will give the option to verify that the part number fits your model. These numbers will come up as a match.

If you are using the pedal strap numbers listed below the caption "Customers who bought this part also bought" - part numbers 134259 and 134260, those numbers will not match your model number because the manufacturer has not included them as parts guaranteed to fit your model.

Normally that would be the end of the story. However, I pulled up a couple of the "View models that contain this part" and looked at those schematics. They use the same part numbers for the pedal assemblies, but also give the option to order just the straps as a separate part. In those schematics, the straps are 134259 and 134260. Since the pedals are the same, these straps will fit your model.

I hope this clears up the confusion. If you need further assistance, please let me know. Thank you again for choosing Sears.

I am glad I could help. As to why the parts price differently, I can't say for certain. I have noticed that when there is a left and a right version of a part, regardless of the type of product, they usually price differently. It is probably to emphasze there is a difference between left and right, which helps ensure the customer gets the correct side when the order is placed.
Please let me know if there is anything else we can help you with. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com and have a great weekend!

The communications port is for factory use. The consoles for these machines mass produced and certain aspects of what the machine does are programmed into the chipset after manufacturing. This jack prevents them from having to open the console up to program. They can plug right into it and load the software. It's also used in the event of firmware updates at a later time. The port is also used to download failure data then there is a problem and the console ends up back at the factory for inspection.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!
