Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. I am sorry the dryer will not stack on either of these models. The only washer I that might be compatible is stock number 60279. Click here o view this model. if they chose this washer they will need to order stack number 131628800. This kit says it will allow stacking of old dryer on new washer. Please advise the customer that the dryer is roughly 11 years old and the average life of an appliance is 8 to 12 years. I would hate for them to purchase a washer that matches the dryer and have the dryer fail in 6 months.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

How do I remove plastic that is melted to the wall of my Kenmore dryer after putting my plastic shower curtain liner inside of it?

A:

This plastic will be extremely difficult to remove. You can try heating the plastic with a hair dryer or heat gun. Once it is heated, you may be able to peel off the plastic. You may not be able to get all of the plastic off. If not, you need to replace the drum or the entire dryer.

If you want to replace the drum, I recommend calling a service technician to complete this type of repair.

Q:

My 6 yr-old dryer doesn't work as well as it used to, and the top panel gets too hot. What's wrong?

A:

Something is restricting the airflow on your dryer. A simple test for the dryer vent is to disconnect the vent hose from the dryer and run a cycle. Open a door or window for ventilation and moisture removal and see if it works normally.

If the dryer works normally with the vent disconnected, the vent is restricted and needs cleaning. If the dryer overheats and doesn't dry well with the vent disconnected something is restricting the airflow inside the dryer. Remove the lint screen and run water through it. Sometimes the lint screens will be restricted and you won't see it by looking. It might need washing with detergent.

If the lint screen is ok, vacuum out the area where the lint screen goes. With the vent hose removed vacuum as far as you can into the vent pipe inside the dryer.

If you still have a problem send another question with the results of these repairs and we will further assist you.
