Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with the drum loose and making noise inside the dryer. We are here to help. The loose barrel is usually a problem with the support rollers. The roller may be bad or the retainer keeping them in place is worn possibly broken. The image below will help you check and replace the rollers. Also, check the drum seals while the drum is out. That can cause a loud scraping noise, and put brown marks on the clothes if it is broken. The second image will help you replace the drum seal if it is needed. The part number for the rollers is 8170. I hope this helps.

Q:

123.8170 model number craftsman reel mower

A:

Owners manuals are great to have when it comes to Mowers. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I took some time searching your model number and it seems to be incorrect. A suggestion I have is to verify your model number and attach it to this thread so you can get a better answer from the experts. Have a nice day!

Thank you for choosing ManageMyLife.com. I understand how important it is to be able to obtain a manual for you mower. However, the model number you've provided is not coming up in our systems. It could be that the mower is so old that documents are no longer available. Another reason why it wouldn't come up in the system will be that it's the wrong number. Please double check the model just to be sure.
If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and please include the complete model number of the mower and I will be glad to assist you further. Thanks for using ManageMyLife.com.

Q:

My Silvertone 8170 wire recorder makes a loud buzz

A:

I am sorry but I was unable to find a schematic reprint in my available documents or the internet. Take the cover off and see if the inside has a schematic printed on it. If not then most components should have their value printed on them, although I do not know how legible they will be after 50 years.

The only other recommendation is to fine an old tube audio equipment forum that may have a user with the same type of equipment.
