Question and Answers

Q:

how are the tines removed fron a pull behind tiller 810-218 Agri-fab 5 hp tow behind tiller

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the tiller. The tines on the tiller are secured to the shafts with pins and cotter pins. To remove the tines first clean the debris from the tines. Then locate the pins that go through the tines. Remove the cotter pins and remove the solid pins. After you remove them the tines should slid off the shafts. If they will not come off, they are likely rusted to the shafts. First, soak them withWD-40 and let it sit overnight. Then try to turn one tine while a helper holds the other. Once you get the tine to turn on the shaft you should be able to keep turning while pulling it off the shaft. Before reinstalling the tines I recommend coating the shafts with anti-seize. This will prevent this from happening again.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
