Hello Keith,

I'm sorry to hear that your washer infusor failed and I would like to assist you. Be sure to unplug the washer prior to servicing it. the infusor is attached by a single bolt in the center of it. The bolt is hidden under a center cap or cover. Attached at the end of this reply is an image that shows the complete assembly in an exploded view. Remove the center cap and see if the bolt is still there or if the infusor hub broke away from the rest of the assembly and allowed the infusor to come off. Once you have assessed the damage, follow this link to Sears Parts Direct to find any parts that you may need for your model of washer.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.

Thanks for your reply, it looks like the bolt snapped in half. Can I just replace the bolt, or do I have to replace the whole assembly

Hello Keith,

I'm happy to hear that you found the issue. I assume that you are able to remove the rest of the bolt from it's mounting hole, if that is the case you are correct and just replace it. You will want to check that the infusor is not bent or damaged, but it is likely to be fine.

Hello Keith,

Thank you for the reply, that is bad news, but I will be happy to explain what needs to be done to repair it. The motor assembly, number 170 in the attached diagram, will need to be replaced and dependent upon your serial number, the inverter board may need to be replaced too. Please reply with your full serial number and I will be able to determine the need of the inverter board for you.

This will require complete disassembly of the tub and basket assembly and you may want to have a local technician or a Sears service technician perform the repair.

I'm sorry that this has happened to your washer and I am here to assist you.

Hello Keith,

I have looked up the parts that are required and attached them to the end of this reply. The inverter board is required with your particular serial number. I suggest weighing the cost of the parts and the difficulty of the labor prior to proceeding. 800-469-4663 is the number to call to reach Sears Home Services to arrange a repair appointment if you choose.

Please let me know what you would like to do.

Hello Keith,

One note I want to make is that you should have a look at the attachment that lists your warranty information, it is a good idea to contact the manufacturer in your situation.
