Q:

how do you remove the light switch? 795.76203.901

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

These push button light switches will just pop out. First disconnect power to the refrigerator and then use a small screwdriver to pry the switch out. It can be a little tricky but it will come out.

Hopefully this helps and let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I was also having a problem with my fridge light and came across this trying to figure out how to get the light switch out without breaking it. To answer your questions about which side to pry from, you should insert your knife strait from the front. There is a tab that you push strait back and the switch will pivot out. I,m trying to figure out if my problem is the light switch. The lights act just like others have reported - the sometimes do not come on and wiggling the switch makes them come on or go off, BUT the lights telling the temperatures of the frig and freezer operate properly with the switch and do not go off or on with wiggling the switch.

I do not believe there will be anyone that can answer this question for you from out department. Not even sure a tech would have the answer to this.

I answered my own question - The shifter is in the front center on an 801 but on the front left of a 920...Thus, the stock shift rods will not work...A custom made shift rod would be needed. Also, an 801 utilizes a crossbar mounting bracket attached to the top front of the transaxle but a 920 uses two side-mounted brackets. In summary, it can be done but it is not a stock parts swap situation.
