Burner Shuts off JGD8348CDP Jenn-air Jenn air cooking

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more then happy to assist you. Sounds like the gas flow to the burners. DId you recently cook something that over flowed to the burners? It might just need to be cleaned . On this one you can remove the gates and lift the top. Once under you can clean out the burners and make sure there's nothing cutting the flow of gas. Hope this information has help you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can Click Here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Any further questions or concerns. Would you help me out to find what parts I needed ? I recently bought used JGD8348CDP Jenn-air Jenn air cooking and installed. But there were no gas flow at all. Fan was working and spark seems normal. All of them. I suspected the fan relay. I installed new regulator and seems OK. All units do not get any gas flow. I checked Right before gas line and gas were coming out. But the point which right after gas tube and appliance inlet tube connected, I think gas clogged. I checked diagram for electiric and found the gas valve are connected with fan relay. Is the possible theory ? I recently ordered fan relay... Thank you in advance.

Q:

Small leak someone says replace the pump 11082873120 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you are having with the Kenmore washer, I know how frustrating leaks are to have occur. Luckily you have a drain pan to catch the leaking water before it makes a mess of the floor.

Outside of the pump, the leak could be emanating from any of the hoses or the connections from the hoses to the pump. There are two hoses that connect to the pump. There is a hose that connects the pump to the drain connector, and an inlet hose that connects the tub to the pump.

The only way to know where it's leaking is to gain access to the pump and visually inspect the pump and hoses for any leakages. Just purchasing a replacement pump may not solve the issue unless you verify the pump body is cracked.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-349-5071, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

My vissani beverage cooler quit cooling MCBC58DST Vissani 5.8 liter beverage cooler

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

Looking into the information on this Vissani beverage cooler I'm showing the main issue could be the compressor. When these stop working (Not Cooling, I would normally point to the protector, or starter. These are on the side of the compressor and are what allow it to run properly. If you take them off you can shake them if they rattle they might need to be replaced. The part number for this is 312200500113.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

I just had this happen with my Vassani beverage cooler. It was indeed the starter device. It's located on the left side of the compressor and pulls off easily. Here's what you do: To get to the compressor, remove the back panel. You then have to remove a cover that is over the starting device (on the left side of the compressor). The cover is held on by a thin metal tension spring. Pull this off and you'll see the starting device with a lead wire attached to it, on the side of the compressor. Pull off the lead wire and you should be able to wiggle the device free. If it rattles, it's broken. I'm not a repair guy but there's a ceramic disk inside the device that's about the size of a quarter that looks like it serves as some sort of conduit limiter between two sets of prongs/contacts. I'm probably all wet but anyway mine was broken and fell out in a bunch of little pieces. Ordered a replacement part from Home Depot for $28.00 plus $6.00 shipping. Put the new one on and it works like a charm....nice and cold.
