Disconnecting the dryer duct vent is the least of your problems. In the installation guide provided below may be helpful. For additional information an expert will respond within two business days.

I have a suggestion that may work faster. Pull the dryer away from the wall. Disconnect the vent hose and make sure the mouse did not expire while attempting to "escape the dryer's heat" inside of the hose. Take an empty shop vac, with an extension on the end of the hose and "probe" the dryer, through the open exhaust port of the drier. You can also, hopefully with a friend, tip the dryer about to allow the critter to slide more toward the center of the dryer bottom. You have reached SUCCESS when a peak inside of the otherwise empty shop vac yields the mouse and any "nesting" materials that the little one(s) may have brought in with them. Yes... I've done this before, with rats. I recommend relocating the dryer's outside vent higher off of the ground or build a 1/2 inch wire mesh screened box around the vent outlet and clean the lint clogging the wire mesh once a week, until the vent can be relocated. Good luck.
