Hi Jason,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

Since you have already checked the drain pump filter, I recommend taking the tub to pump hose off and ensuring that it is not restricted with debris. Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. Then check the pump to stand pipe (house drain) drain line. Make sure the drain hose has an air gap at the stand pipe. Water may be siphoning back into the washer, or if the pump has to force the water into the house plumbing this may cause an OE. The drain pump can be working as designed but if the water is not being pumped out fast enough due to a restricted drain hose the washer will give this error. Confirm that the washer is leveled properly. If the unit is not leveled properly, it will not drain properly. The front of the unit cannot be higher than the back or vice versa. If not properly leveled, the water can flow back into the machine. I am including the QC test in the images below. The QC test will check the water level frequency (pressure switch). If the QC test results are within normal limits you will need to make sure the control board is sending 120VAC to the drain pump. I have seen low voltage cause this issue. If the voltage is correct you will need to ohm the drain pump. The drain pump should ohm between 10 and 20 ohms. The next step may be to replace the drain pump.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I have a top loading Sears Kenmore Washer Elite. My Model Number is 796.29272000 (It can be found on the left side of your Top Panel) If you need the water pump, as I did when looking into this "OE" error I looked around since SEARSDIRECTPARTS.com was quite expensive once shipping came into play. They wanted to charge me $75 for the part and $50 for expedited service which took 5 days. Yes its cheaper than the $139 service install and the $98 for the pump from service. Lookied around and I bought it here and saved BIG! http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/lg-pump-assembly-drain-item-number-ap5206579.aspx I also saw that this pump works for the following models as well: Kenmore 79629002000 Washing Machine Kenmore 79629002010 Washer Kenmore 79629272000 Washer Kenmore 79629272010 Washer Kenmore 79629272900 Washer Kenmore 79629278000 Washing Machine Kenmore 79629278010 Washer Kenmore 79629278900 Washer Kenmore 79629472000 Washer Kenmore 79629478000 Washer Read more: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/lg-pump-assembly-drain-item-number-ap5206579.aspx#ixzz1xA4ZGPOi http://www.appliancepartspros.com

I have the same problem with my model (mine is 79641473210) and error 0E displaying. I cleaned the filter but code still appeared. Then I noticed that the drain hose was inserted too far into the drain standpipe (about 24 inches) so I pulled it and noticed some gunk up in the hose. It wasn't clogged all the way and I was able to blow into it and hear bubbling in the tub. I used a coat hanger to attempt to clean out the hose and got some stuff out. I then reran the machine in cleaning mode but got the same 0E error. The washer is about 3 years old.
