Hi, Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your refrigerator not working. We are here to help.On your refrigerator there are two fans mounted in the freezer compartment.  One fan is for your icemaker and the other is for the circulation of air inside the freezer and the refrigerator compartments.  To get to the fans you will need to remove all the food and store it in a cooler on some dry ice.  The trays will need to be removed and the rear panel brought forward to get to the fans.  Give the freezer section time to thaw out or the rear panel could be damaged if removed while still frozen to the rear wall.  NOTE:  Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service.Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts.   Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using ManageMyLife. Bill

I am having the same problem. Today will be my 3rd time in 6 months de-icing the drain hole in the back of my freezer. Is there any setting I can adjust on the defrost cycle? Or do I need to call a repair man to fix the issue? Thanks! Rob

Q:

What is the remedy to fix error code ER-CO?

A:

First check for a poor connection at the main board, which is located behind the unit. Also check the connections under the top door hinge. If all the connections are ok the main board # EBR41956401 will need to be replaced. This board is available at Sears PartsDirect .
