Q:

How do I fix a orange wire in the left front door of my Kenmore Elite refrigerator

A:

Refrigerators are the main appliance in our homes so when something goes wrong it can be frustrating. I suggest you speak with a Sears associate to find out about the cost for a technician to come out and fix this problem. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern. Based on the additional information listed, first check for a loose wire connection. If the connections are ok, this would appear to be a possible break in the wiring. You are correct, the harness is not a serviceable part and a complete door would be needed. A technician will be required to make this type of check, to verify it. I'm listing a link you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Here is more indepth information. I have a Kenmore Elite refrigerator model #795.78544.803 that has no power to front control panel. I am getting power from the main board to the top of the refrigerator in the wiring harness. Now, from the top of the refrigerator to the front control panel (with water dispenser) there is a problem with the orange wire not getting any power. I jumped the orange wire and was able to get the front control panel to light up. The refrigerator is only two years old.
