Thank you for your question. If this frost buildup is on the bottom of the freezer, it would indicate the drain is frozen. In this case, the back wall in the freezer will need to be removed to clear the drain, which can be complicated or you can turn the unit off for 24 hours and leave the drawer open. To remove the back panel, everything in the freezer will need to be taken out and the drawer will also need to be removed. Be sure to disconnect power to the unit first. I'm attaching some pictures with instructions to remove the drawer. When the back panel is removed (see picture), the drain can be cleared using hot water. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Disconnect power to the refrigerator and check for loose wires in the harness connections. If the wires are ok, the most likely problem will be a defective control board # EBR41531305. The small connections on the board can be very difficult to check even for technicians. If you would like to have it checked by a technician, I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you would like more assistance, additional details will be needed.

While waiting for expert answer, continued to dig deeper into back of refrig looking for power /no-power conditions. Came across control board and found a blown fuse on board. Fuses cannot be easily changed without cutting and soldering - bad design. Probably designed that way so consumer has to purchase a whole new board for $100 plus pay for service tech time and material. Took board to local electronics company and they soldered in a new fuse for a few bucks. Refrigerator now works. As the refrig is only two years old, problems like this should not be occuring already.
