Thank you for your question. I know it's frustrating when the refrigerator stops working. Based on the information listed, this will lead to either a defective control board or power cord. The most likely problem will be with the control board. If you have a meter and feel confident with making a voltage check you can verify which part has failed. First disconnect power to the unit. Now remove the cover panel to the control board behind the unit. When you have access to the control board, locate connection 1 and the 2 end wires will be sky blue and brown. Reconnect the power and check voltage across these 2 wires but do not disconnect the connector. If there is 120 volts, it will indicate the control board # EBR41531305 has failed but if there is no voltage, it will indicate the power cord # 6411JB1042Y is defective. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services.

Q:

Why does the bottom freezer drawer tracks freezing, the refrigerator model number is 795.78309.800?

A:

Core Issue: Why does the bottom freezer drawer tracks freezing, the refrigerator model number is 795.78309.800?

Resolution:

  • The first thing to check is the temperature that the freezer is set to. The recommended setting is 0 fahrenheit. Adjust the temperature settings if needed.
  • Make sure air vents are being blocked. If refrigerator air vents are blocked, the zero degree air from the freezer is trapped in that area and when mixed with warm, humid air, frost will form. The frost will begin to build around tracks.
