Question and Answers

Q:

frezzer section dose not frezze 79578304802 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I am sorry to hear of the higher than normal temp within the freezer section, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.

I am suspecting the issue may be caused by a defective temperature sensor within the freezer section. Since the freezer and refrigerator are working but the temp within the freezer is not low enough, this would be the most likely part.

The part number for the freezer temperature sensor is 6500JB2002T. For convenience, I have included a blue link below that you may click on to be directed to SearsPartsDirect.com to view and purchase the sensor if needed.

Thank you for your question. These parts can be complicated to remove and install. Now to get both sliders (103E) 2 will need to be ordered. It does not come as a kit. The tv tray (154A) has been an issue. Usually a new rail kit will also be required when replacing the tray. I would strongly recommend having a technician make this repair, since it has been an ongoing problem. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services. I hope this will help you.

I can't make much sense of your answer, as I may have a different version of the 795-78304-802 model. Mine has groves molded into the inner side walls of the refrigerator. The tray slides into those groves, then the 2 bins slide into slots on the underside of the full width tray (including the middle support. I can't see the need for ANY slider, unless you can come up with one. I'm puzzled why there seems to be several variations (either 1 or 2 bin configurations and rail/no rails) using the same parts model descriptions - very confusing, and leads to unnecessary parts purchased. Am I wrong?

I'm sorry for the confusion. There are rail kits that need to be replaced with some tv trays. These trays have been an ongoing issue getting the proper one that will fit back in place and also getting the bins to fit back. If the tray you received is not fitting back in place, it could be complicated to resolve without a technician actually checking this.
