Thanks - what we're getting is freezing of food on the top shelf of the refrigerator compartment. What I was looking for the service manual for was the diagnostic trees for that problem (i.e. which sensors to check, what resistances they ought to show, louvres/vents to examine, etc.) and the appropriate tear down instructions to get to those sensors and areas properly.

This is usually caused because air is leaking around the base of air tower. To correct this, the air tower will have to be removed and a bead of silicone will have to be put down on the floor where the tower sits. Now place the tower back down on top of the silicone and it will form a tight seal. If the problem still occurs, the tower will need to be replaced. I'm sending you a picture of how to remove the tower. If this is the not case, I have added the diagnostic test and the troubleshooting from the service manual below. There isn't a flow tree for this problem, so you will need to do a lot of testing to discover the problem. From what you are describing it sounds like the sensor is the problem, but you will need an ohm meter to be sure. These are located in the controls at the top of the unit. The first image show you how to access them. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
