A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to replace the fan in your refrigerator.

3-2 FAN AND FAN MOTOR
1. Remove the freezer shelf. (If your refrigerator has an
icemaker, remove the icemaker first)
2. Remove the plastic guide for slides on left side by
unscrewing phillips head screws.
3. Remove the grille by pulling it out and by loosening a screw.
4. Remove the Fan Motor assembly by loosening 2 screws
and disassemble the shroud.
5. Pull out the fan and separate the Fan Motor and Bracket.

Thank you for the answer Natasha, your answer however and video is not for the model I have. I have trio model that has the freezer on the bottom, I have a problem removing part of the shelf on the freezer. Can you help a little more specific? This answer is the same with what I had before and not very helpful. Thanks, Rudy

Q:

refrigerator/freezer don't cool 79575543400

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Refrigerator, Model: 795.75543400. From reviewing the details on your model, on something like this I recommend removing the freezer rear panel & inspecting the evaporator coil & freezer fan so we can see how our sealed system & air flow is working, if the compressor is running. If the compressor is not running we need to check the voltage with a meter coming from the control board going to the compressor. Once you get the rear panel off if you see the evaporator completely iced/frosted up this is a sign of a defrost cycle failure. If the evaporator does not have a frost pattern this is a sign of a compressor or sealed system failure.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the refrigerator to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

Q:

ice maker 79575543400 Kenmore Elite Refrigerator

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your fridge and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 79575543400. If your icemaker is not producing ice, there is a few things that I can have you look at and verify if they are working or not. If the filter has not been replaced in over a year sometimes the filter will become clogged and the water supply will not make it to the icemaker. You may also check on the water valve that allows water to travel to the icemaker as well. You can also check to see if the water is making to the icemaker. If you do not feel comfortable doing the repair contact a Sears Technician.

I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.

If you have further questions please let me know.
