A:

It's very unusual for the refrigerator to cool ok, if the freezer is not cooling. The refrigerator works off of the freezer, so apparently the freezer is doing some cooling. Usually, in this case, the problem will be in the seal system or with the compressor. If this unit was ever leaned over during the move, some oil may have escaped and gotten into the evaporator. I recommend letting it sit for several hrs. before turning it back on. It's usually recommended to leave it off for 24 hrs. If the problem still occurs, the system will probably be restricted. It could also have a low charge or the compressor may not be pumping properly. These are checks, which will require a technician to make. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

How to replace the relay switch and capacitor on this compressor?

A:

Pay close attention to how the relay and capacitor are connected now because the new parts will connect the same way. The blue wire will connect to terminal 6 on the relay and one side of the capacitor. The pink wire will connect to the other side of the capacitor and terminal 5 on the relay (see picture). Make sure the power is disconnected from the unit before attempting to access the compressor. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
