Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the refrigerator. First, check to see if the fan motor inside the freezer is working. If the fan doesn't work, it will cause this problem and will need to be replaced. If it is working, next check for a thick frost accumulation on the back wall. If this is taking place, it will indicate the defrost system has failed. As the frost builds, the air flow to the fridge will be reduced. In this case, turn the unit off for 24 hours to allow time for it to thaw. It would also be best to leave the freezer door open. When the frost is all gone, the unit will cool ok again for a few days until the frost starts to accumulate again. This will allow time to have it checked. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services.

The condenser coil on this model has a fan motor to cool it. However, this won’t be the problem because if the coils were dirty, the freezer would not cool either. If you want to clean them, the best way will be from the back side. Pull the unit out and remove the back panel. First disconnect power from the unit.

For the problem you're having, it will be an air flow problem inside the cabinet. The damper may be closed off too much. Adjust the knob in the freezer on the back wall, to a warmer setting, to allow more air flow in the fridge section. Also try adjusting the cold control (thermostat) to a colder setting. If you would like more assistance, additional details will be needed.

I have a LG Refrigerator Model# 79569913900 I purchased form Sears under the Kenmore brand. The top portion of the refrigerator (freezer) works perfectly. The bottom portion is hardly pushing air, if any. Please advise what is causing the bottom portion not to work. Fuse, compressor?
