Okay.... so my question is how do I access the "set screws" on the handle? It appears to be a single piece. Do I pry it away from the door?

Q:

What is the detailed information on the defrost in my refrigerator?

A:

The following information is from the service manual on refrigerator model number 795.65014401.

Defrosting

1. Defrosting starts each time when compressor running time reach 7 Hours, if any door hasn’t been opened

2. In case of any Door has been opened the defrosting period will start considering the next conditions: If Compressor running time is bigger than 7 Hrs when door is opened: Defrosting starts immediately. If Compressor running time is less than 7 hours when door is opened: Defrosting starts after a compensation time is applied.

3. Defrosting stops if the sensor temperature reaches 46.4°F (8°C) or more. If the sensor doesn’t reach 46.4°F (8°C) in 2 hours, the defrost mode is malfunctioning.)

4. Defrosting won’t function if its sensor is defective (wires are cut or short circuited)

All this means is that defrost is determined by the computer board on the back of the unit. The refrigerator will enter defrost 7 hours after it is first plugged in. After that the board will start calculating things such as compressor run time, door openings, and average temperatures to determine when to defrost again. This is to make the unit more energy efficient, so the number of defrosts and length of defrosts will vary depending on usage.

I hope this is what you were requesting, if not please submit another question. We will be glad to help in any way possible. I know the wording of the top explanation looks funny, it had to be translated from Korean and generally is difficult to read if your not used to looking at the documents.
