Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the icemaker overfilling. If the tray is not horizontal, it will probably be the reason water is leaking. This can be a complicated icemaker to service and a technician may be needed. I'm attaching some pictures with instructions to adjust the icemaker and also the water supply. The dip switches for the water supply will be on the main control board. Be very careful when making the adjustment, there is high voltage present. I would recommend disconnecting the power first. I hope this will help you.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

My 795.51012.010 was purchased in March 2012. My ice maker is doing the same thing. It has been doing it for 6 months and wouldn't you know by the time i get around to doing something about it, the warranty expired 6 days ago. The tray is not perfectly horizontal. I went to the store today to look at the same model and it is not horizontal in the show room as well. I witnessed the water fill the tray and then go right over the corner guard. To me it is either the flow is too much or the tray is not horizontal enough. I would love to see those pictures with instructions referenced above by Scott D. I cannot figure out where to make the adjustment on the flow.

I have a model 795.51022.012 refrigerator which has the exact same icemaker. I watched the process and noted that the tray is overfilling due to the fact that not all of the ice cubes were being ejected when the tray is twisted. One way to keep the ice from sticking is to clean the tray with a solution of baking soda.. I have looked thoroughly through the web site and can not find out how to remove just the tray. Please advise.

Hello all. I too have the exact same problem. However, I don't think the ice tray is supposed to "appear" to be exactly horizontal. It seems to me that the flex tray it's supposed to look a bit crooked to help it twist when it rotates to eject the ice out of the tray. But this ice maker has very flexible sides so that it flexes just enough that it doesn't always eject the ice cubes out. When the tray rotates back to the original position the water then comes out of the tube and just spills over into the rest of the freezer including the ice bucket. Which causes it to pool in the ice bucket, freeze, and then add extra stress to the side guide rails. Causing my guide rails to break. So my question to the experts is this. If I buy a new ice maker are the sides that hold the rotating flex tray solid enough to consistently twist the flex tray and eject the ice or is it the same design that has caused me nothing but headaches since I've owned this Kenmore product?
