Question and Answers

Q:

What does the F2 code mean on my Kenmore range?

A:

Depending on your model number, the F2 fault code could indicate on the of the following failures:

  • Control keypad failure
  • High resistance in the temperature sensor probe
  • Oven over-temperature condition
  • Shorted thermal fuse
I would need to know the model number of your range to give you an accurate answer. The model number on most Kenmore ranges can be found by opening the bottom storage (or warming) drawer. The model number plate is located on the base of the range just above the right front leveling leg.

Resubmit your question with the complete model number of your range for more help with this problem.

You can find the owner's manual online at our Manage My Home website. On the home page, hold your mouse over the square labeled "HOME" in the upper left of the page and choose the option "Products and manuals" from the drop-down menu that appears.
