Q:

Element light stays on after replacing infinite switch & EOC 79096333502 Kenmore Electric range

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your range and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 79096333502 and make sure that the surface burners are all turned off. There is a cooktop lockout control board that is connected to the main oven control board. That cooktop lockout control board could be detecting that a burner is on and that is why you hear the triple beep. You could have a failed burner switch, a bad cooktop lockout control board or a failed electronic oven control board that is causing this problem. I strongly recommend having a service technician to properly diagnose this issue.

To access the burner switches remove the panel from behind the control panel.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the rear panel.

After removing the panel you will see the back of all the surface burner switches. Pull the wire off connected to terminal "P" from only one switch at a time and position the wire so it can't touch metal or any other wires or terminals. Re-connect the power cord and see if the "Element On" light has gone off. If it hasn't,
disconnect the power cord and then re-install the wire and then take the next one off and keep repeating these steps until you find the one that keeps the "Element On" light off. Remember to disconnect the power cord before removing or re-installing the wire connections. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information. I hope this information helps you.
