Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to replace the hidden bake element in your range.

  • First REMOVE POWER from the range.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

  • Open the oven door and remove the oven racks.

  • Locate the two chrome thumb screws at the back bottom of the oven floor.

  • Unscrew but do not remove from panel.

  • Lift up from the back by using the slots in the oven panel and pull upward to remove the front lip of the oven bottom from the range frame.

  • Locate and remove the screws from the bake element tabs where they attach to the oven back liner.

  • Carefully pull out the element from the back wall until the wire harness connections on the back of the element are out far enough to remove from the wire connections. NOTE! When installing the new element wires onto the element connections do not bend the tabs when tightening the screws. Hold them with your fingers or a pair of pliers while you tighten the screws.

  • Slide the wires back into the oven wall and then fasten with the retainer screws and re-install the oven bottom by first sliding the front of the oven bottom into the lip on the front of the oven cavity and then lay down the oven bottom and install the two retainer screws.

  • Re-install the oven racks and restore power and test operation.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
