Q:

Left front burner does not work 790.96224404

A:

We use Ovens offend to cook so when something happens all we can think about is money out the window to fix it. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I suggest you set service with a Sears technician so they can see what is going on with this appliance. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Wiring around the simmer select control board would be considered altering the design of the range and that's something I cannot suggest doing nor can I provide instructions how to.

I added an image below the simmer circuit and operation.

I hope this is helpful.

Thanks for your question about the Kenmore range, sorry to hear there is a problem with the baking mode.
Based on your description of replacing a burnt out baking element and now still no bake, I suggest that the control be tested. If you have a volt ohm meter and feel confident in making electrical test, below I have attached a wiring diagram to use. Always disconnect power supply to appliance before servicing and when testing live voltage wear proper safety equipment You will need to check for power into the control and then power out to the bake element. Also look for any wiring that may be broken or burnt in back of range, from control area to bake and broil elements.
I hope this helps, if you need additional help respond with more details and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks Ron H.

Ron, Thanks for getting back to me with your answer. Another question if I check the voltage and it's bad does that mean I need to replace the entire control board?

Hi Brian; if you have the correct voltage into the control but not out with the control set to bake then yes that would indicate a bad control and it will need to be replaced. Thanks Ron H.
