Question and Answers

Q:

Bake element missing 7909621340C Kenmore Electric range

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Kenmore range model 7909621340C. I am so sorry about the confusion about the location of the bake element in your range. I will be happy to help you with this.

Your range has a hidden bake element. It is beneath the lower panel. I have included an image at the bottom of this post that shows you how the parts line up. The red arrow points to the bottom panel. The blue arrow points to the element beneath it. It is very important to remember when you have a range with a hidden bake element DO NOT line the bottom of the oven with aluminum foil. It will melt onto the bottom panel.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

Left front burner doesn't work on normal setting but simmer works 7909621340c Kenmore Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your range. Upon researching model 7909621340c; I found there is a push button simmer switch. It could be the switch has failed and not switching from simmer or regular. The simmer switch could need to be replaced. The other part it could be is the simmer select board. I linked a diagram below. The simmer select board is number 97 and the simmer switch is number 27.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Same problem. Ordered the relay board. Can not determine which way the right side connector attaches. Is there a way to determine if the white wired goes on top or the red wire? Do not want to mess up the new board.

Connie: I can't be certain which model you have without knowing the model number of your range. I will add an image for a freestanding electric Kenmore glass top with radiant burners below. I added three images. I hope one will apply to your model. If not, reply with the model number for additional information. Be sure to disconnect the range from the power source before servicing.
