The oven door will need to be removed to complete this repair. The first image below shows how to remove the oven door on this model of range. The second image shows the parts list diagram for the oven door. You can use this image as a reference for the parts in the door. The third image shows an illustrated procedure for disassembling the door on a similar model of range. The door on your range will be different but the basic procedure is the same.

After removing the door from the range, you will need to place it on a padded surface with the outside (handle side) facing down. Remove the screws (Key 10) that secure the handle to the front of the range. Pull the handle out from under the door so that it rests flat on the padded surface. Remove the screws (Key 60B) from the bottom of the door. You may find other screws that secure the inner door liner (Key 9). Once remove all of the screws, you should be able to carefully lift the inner door liner off of the assembly and access the inner door glass.

Make sure that you reassemble the door properly after replacing the glass.

These tips should help you replace the inner door glass panel in this range.

Q:

Why isn't the oven on my Kenmore Range model number 790.96213402 working?

Why isn't the oven on my Kenmore Range model number 790.96213402 working?

If you have already replaced the baking element and your oven still isn't working there is a possibility that the wiring or the EOC (electronic oven control) could be faulty.

I highly recommend having a technician come out to diagnose and repair your appliance.
