Question and Answers

Q:

We are getting a F10 error when using the oven can tell me what it means 79096119405 Kenmore Electric range

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about the F10 error code on your Kenmore Electric Range. I will be happy to identify the code for you.

The F10 Fault code means the likely failure condition/cause is runaway temperature. Check the Oven Temperature Probe and replace it if necessary. If the oven is overheating, disconnect power to the oven. If the oven continues to overheat after the power is restored, you will need to replace the Electronic Oven Control (EOC). Severe overheating may cause extensive damage and may require the oven be replaced. Therefore, it is a good idea to disconnect the power supply when the oven is not in use until the problem is corrected. I have included blue links for the sensor probe and the EOC in case you need to replace one of them.

I have also included blue links to our Range Repair Guides that will give you tips on replacing these parts.

If you would prefer to have a technician diagnose and repair the range for you, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663.

I hope this answers your questions. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
