Upon researching model790.96113409; its sounds like you need to replace the infinite switch for the burner that keeps staying on. This model is not currently listed under a recall. I have posted a link below of the infinite switches for each burner, small burner switch#54, large burner switch#54A, dual burner switch#54B.  Note: unplug range power cord before attempting to repair.

From the information you have provided above, it seems to me like it would be the burner switch may be defective causing the burner to kick on by itself. Just depending on what burner it is the switch will most likely fix the problem. There may also be an issue with the actual control board of the unit. It can also be defective sending the signal to turn the burner on. I would start with the switch is more common. Then if worst comes to worst it would be the control board malfunction and the board will need to be replaced.
