Q:

Kenmore Electric Range EOC Issue - No fault code

A:

I understand that your stove top and oven light works but the panel buttons do not. I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below if you are interested in viewing. I hope the link that I provided is helpful.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details it sounds like something failed within the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) to cause the flashing colon and the two small lines. It should have displayed 12:00 flashing along with the letters PF once the power was restored indicating a power failure.

Disconnect the power supply from range and then remove the panel from behind the console and visually inspect the EOC for any evidence of shorts or burnt marks. The EOC will likely need to be replaced.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
