Question and Answers

Q:

Stove top, oven and broiler not heating 79095689301 Kenmore Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your broiler and oven does not work. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.

Since you have already replaced the control panel I suggest you get a technician to diagnose the unit. The control panel can have many relays and one may have gone bad. I do not want to tell you to replace it again and it not work, but that is the only part that controls the on and off of the stove top and the oven.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. Based on you symptom and details, the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) will need to be replaced.

The EOC is part #316207511 and can ordered and purchased from Sears PartsDirect

The EOC can be accessed and replaced by removing the panel from behind the console. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing your range.

Q:

Kenmore oven control keeps beeping and flashing F1. I have tried STOP/CLEAR, but the beeping and fault condition keep reoccuring. What else should I do?

A:

I understand how inconvenient it can be to have a range that is displaying a faulty code. while you are waiting for an expert answer, I recommend you resubmit your question including the model number of your range. I did manage to find a link that will provide yo with more information about what that error code means. I hope my link is useful.

The fault code "F1" implies a failed oven control board. I added a link below that will answer your question. It will likely need a new oven control board if the oven sensor tests okay.

How to reset an "F1" fault code?
