Appliances have gotten much smarter and can communicate problems to us. It may be in the form of flashing, beeping and fault codes. This can be confusing. I see Marc provided the manual. I also added below. I recommend plugging the range back in and if the fault returns, check the display for the fault code error. There is an example in the Manual . Press Stop/Clear to stop beeping and clear display. To assist further, I would need the error code that displays. Please reply back with any error code that displays and I will troubleshoot further.

Thanks for the response. For anyone who attempts this themselves... after unscrewing the front screws and detaching the rear hinges, when you lift the top, you will meet resistance, just continue to lift, it will pop the latch.. making you think you broke something, but that's just the way it works. Removing the elements is just four screws on this model. For a random repair, the whole job took less than two hours to complete.

Q:

The glass on the inside of my Kenmore electric oven cracked. Do instructions come with the part?

A:

Instructions do not come with the door glass. It is fairly easy to replace. I am sending you instructions and you can decide if you want to do the job yourself.

You need to remove the door from the range. Open the oven door fully. On the inner liner of the door just above each hinge arm there is a screw. Remove these screws.

Look on the hinge arms between the range body and the door and there is a small hole in each hinge arm. Place a small nail in each hole.

Close the door slowly until the door inner liner touches the nails and stops. Pull outward on the sides of the door. Don't use the handle to pull with. The door will lift off the hinge arms.

Place the door, handle down on a pad on the counter or a table.

Remove the two screws at the upper part of the door that hold the handle on. The handle might turn and let the door fall to the pad, let it down with your hand.

Carefully lift the door inner liner away from the oven door. This will let you access the oven door glass.
