Question and Answers

Q:

What part(s) do I need to order to make the range burners and oven heat up and cook hotter and faster. 79095322304 Kenmore Electric range

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.
I am sorry to hear of the issues you're having with the range after the lightning storm. I know how frustrating issues like this are to have happen.
If the surface elements and oven elements are heating, they are fine. I suspect that the lightning caused a power surge that may have adversely affected the electronic control board, and may have shorted a heating or power relay. That would be the most logical thing to look at initially. The part number for the board is 316207511, and the overlay or push buttons are 316220839. The board would need to be tested with a multi meter to be sure. If you are not proficient with testing electronics, we would recommend having a service technician assist with the diagnosis and repair.
If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-349-5071, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.
I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F1" fault code implies a faulty electronic oven control. Disconnect the power supply by flipping the two house circuit breakers off dedicated for the range or disconnect the power cord and wait at least 30 seconds. Reapply power and if fault code returns, replace the electronic oven control board. You will also need to replace the clock overlay too. The oven control/clock assembly #316207511 can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct. The clock overlay is part #316220839.

The oven control/clock assembly can be removed and replaced from behind the range. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the control panel. The oven control is fastened with a screw in each corner. Be sure to install the new clock overlay over the face of the clock before installing. Disconnect one wire or connector at time and reconnect them to the appropriate terminals on the new control.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on you symptom and details, it sounds like the bake or broil element may have burnt out and shorted which will take out the oven control board/clock assembly. Flip the two house circuit breakers off dedicated for the range and then inspect the bake and broil elements for any signs of cracks or blisters. If the bake and broil element appear Okay, remove the panel from behind the control panel and inspect the wire connections on the electronic oven control/clock assembly and you will likely find a burnt wire or component attached to the control board.

The electronic oven control can be removed and replaced from behind the control panel. You will also need to order the clock overlay too because it can not likely be reused once it it peeled off the faulty electronic oven control/clock assembly. The electronic oven control #316207511 can be ordered from Sear Parts Direct if you find it burnt out. The clock over lay is part #316220839 which can also be ordered from Sears PartsDirect .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
