The burners will work but I cannot turn on the oven or set the clock....nothing happens when you try to set it. After a few seconds you get a steady beep and F1 error. Which part do you think I need?

Thank you for submitting your question. I know error codes are frustrating and I will be happy to assist you. The F1 error code for your oven indicates an issue with the main control board (316207511) or the oven temperature sensor (316233902). Since you indicated your meal was burnt when checking, I recommen testing the temperature sensor first. This video will assist you with the testing and replacement of this sensor. If the sensor test good, then I recommend replacing the main control board. You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details I would suspect a faulty electronic oven control/clock assembly. When replacing the electronic oven control you will also need to order the clock overlay and stick the overlay over the face of the oven control before installing.

The electronic oven control #316207511 can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct . You will need to look up the part number of the overlay because it offered in the color of White, Black or Bisque.

The electronic oven control/clock assembly can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the range. Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
