Having your oven fail to heat can be very aggravating. I did some research and provided a link to a similar question and answer on our site. I hope this will shed a little more light on the issue until the Expert responds to your question in more detail within 24 to 48 hours.

Thank you for choosing ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it can be when the oven doesn't work properly. However, without a complete model number, I can only provide general information. I recommend checking for any loose wiring on your elements. However, if both elements stopped working at the same time, your control board would most likely need replacing.
SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services
If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and please include the complete model number of the range and I will be glad to assist you further. The model number will be located on the frame where the door sits in the bottom drawer. Thanks for using ManageMyLife.com.

Hey John, thank you for the recent response and for using ManageMyLife.com. I am sorry for the delay in getting you an answer to the correct part number for the control board you are in need of.

You have provided model number 7909503, that is only a partial model number for your unit. When I plug that in, I have 23 various ranges that pull up, we will need to be a little more specific with the model. You are missing four more numbers after, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving you a part number for the board without the complete model number as there will be differences in the boards based upon the ending numbers. If you can identify the ending four numbers, reply back and I will give you the model specific part number for the board you are in need of.

If you have any further questions or inquiries, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

A:

Replacing parts on appliances can be quite tricky without instructions or your owner's manual. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, A suggestion I have is to visit Sears Parts Direct website to speak with a Sears associate to find out what part you need for your Oven. I attached the lin below. Hope this helps!

The electronic clock/timer is the part that controls the heating of the oven. I feel sure this is the part the technician meant.

When the broil and bake elements neither one work, the problem is usually caused by a broken wire or the electronic clock/timer.

The part number and price of the clock are:

22 628 316455420 1 $69.53 79095033504 Clock/Timer,electronic ,ES105

We ordered the part number that Jimmy suggested and installed it and the oven and broiler are working fine now! The installation went pretty smoothly. We just had to make sure we had a ESD wrist band while we were removing the old board and installing the new one. Thanks for all the help.
