I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your range. The controls on this model are what operate the oven, so without them the oven will not work. If your display and control is completely dead, you could have a wiring failure or a failed electronic oven control board in the range. If you are able to unplug the range and safely remove the upper back panel from the range, then you can check for a loose wiring connection on the electronic oven control board. If you find no wiring problems, then the electronic oven control board will likely need to be replaced. I recommend calling a service technician to verify this diagnosis and replace the control board if needed. If you want to take a chance that this is the failure and replace the board yourself, then you can order a new board from the Sears PartsDirect website. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

That link for a previous answer has some good information regarding the F10 error code. That code indicates that the electronic oven control board in the console detects a "runaway" (out of range high) temperature. That previous answer shows how to test the oven temperature sensor probe. In your situation, the problem is likely caused by a stuck relay on the electronic oven control board. The sensor is probably detecting the proper temperature if that broiler comes on and heats constantly. You could also have a problem with one of the oven elements that caused damage to the control board. I recommend that you unplug the range and check the bake and broil elements for damage. If they are okay, then replacing the electronic clock control board in the console should fix your problem. You can order parts from this page: Kenmore Range Model 790.94684300 Parts . Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

Remove the back panel behind the console to access that clock control board.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

I know that it can be very difficult to have your range stop working properly. The "F1" fault code means a failed transistor component on the Electronic Oven Control (EOC). This means the EOC will need to be removed and replaced. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
