Question and Answers

What part will I need to fix my oven

Thanks for the inquiry about your rang/oven model 790.94462703, sorry you are having a problem, I will be glad to assist you with this. Based on the description you have provide I would suspect the control board to be the issue, however if the information you have been given thus for about the elements and the control are correct that would only leave the wiring from the control to the elements to be the problem. This would be rare, but I suggest that you inspect this area.  I am assuming that if the friend is a technician he also verified the proper voltage supply to the range and to the L 2 and L1 terminals to the control board.  He should also check the control and verify voltage between L 2 (P1) out and BK (P9) to the bake element and L2 (P1) out and BRL (P7).  If there is power at the control but not out to the elements when set to bake or broil then the control is bad. I have attached a wiring diagram for your convenience. Here is a link to Sears Parts Direct should you need to order parts. Here is a link to Sears Home Services if you need a technician to come and diagnose the problem.  Ron H.
