Thank you for your question. I know it's frustrating when the oven stops working. Since the top burners are working, it does mean there is 240 volts to the range and since both bake and broil are not working, it would lead to a control problem. To verify this, you can disconnect the power from the unit and then connect the wires on the L1 terminal to the wires on either the BK or BRL terminal and then reconnect the power. If the element heats, the control # 316207511 will need to be replaced. If it still won't heat, disconnect the power again and now connect the L2 in and out wires together. Reconnect the power and if the element heats now, it will again indicate the control has failed. Be very careful with these wires and make sure they do not touch anything. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank you for your expert advise. When I connected L1 to BK and BRL it still did not work but when I connected L2 and the out wire and turned on the oven the bake element came on fine. I will order the control unit now knowing that is my problem.
