Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F10" fault code indicates a runaway temperature. This could be cause by a faulty oven temperature sensor but more likely it has a faulty electronic oven control.

I recommend removing and testing the oven temperature sensor probe with an Ohm meter. At room temperature the sensor should measure approximately 1100 Ohms. If it measure approximately 1100 Ohms then replace the electronic oven control (EOC). You can order parts at Sears PartsDirect .

The oven temperature sensor is part #316490000 and the electronic oven control is part #316557212. I added a YouTube video showing how to test the oven sensor and how to remove and replace the sensor.

In order to access and replace the electronic oven control/clock, disconnect the range from the power supply and then remove the cover from behind the control panel. The control will be fastened by a couple of screws. Take one wire off at a time from the old control and connect it to the corresponding terminal on the new control.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
