Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore range lamplight indicator is out.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details, in order for every one of the surface ON indicators to fail at the same time I suspect the ON indicator lost the neutral supply (white wires) to the surface ON indicators.  You can likely find a loose or disconnected white wire (neutral wire) connecting to the terminal block or somewhere behind the control panel. You can slide the range out and disconnect the power cord from the power source.

After disconnecting the power cord, remove the screws from the cover behind the control panel. Remove the cover and make a visual inspection of all the white wires. It will likely be the white wire connected between the terminal block and where it connects in a series circuit to each of the surface ON indicator lights.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link:Sears Home Services.

A:

The KW power rating of this range is shown in the image below. It normally requires a 40 amp breaker with 8 gauge copper wire size as shown below. This should be the specifications that you need for your remodel.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

In order to access and clean the glass in the oven door will require taking the door off the range and then taking the door apart.

I recommend making a note of the order of the parts as well as where the parts fit as you're taken them off so you'll know where and what order to re-assemble the parts. Take pictures if necessary to aid in re-assembling the door.

I added three images below with the basic door removal instructions and the basic instructions on how to disassemble the door.
