If the problem were in the oven temperature sensor, the electronic control should display an error code.

The only things that can cause bake and broil to stop heating at the same time are the electronic oven control (clock) or a broken wire to the elements.

I would disconnect the power to the range and remove the covers on the rear of the cabinet. Inspect the wiring to the bake and broil elements from the terminal block and the clock. If these wires are ok, replace the clock.

You can order the clock at Parts Direct The part number of the clock is 316455420, and the price is $77.66.

To be sure what is wrong with your range someone would need to test the voltage to and from the control board.

There are no fuses or thermostats in the range that would keep the oven elements from working.

If the oven temperature sensor failed, the control board should display an error code to indicate that.

It is also possible a wire has broken or burned off between the control board and the elements.

If you have a volt meter and want to troubleshoot the range, reply on this thread and I will send you the troubleshooting information.

I recommend you go to Home Services and get a Sears technician to repair the range.
