A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with range.  Upon researching model  79090932601; based on the description provided you may have bad oven temperature prove or the control board may not be sending the voltage needed to the oven. Since the oven temperature probe is the cheaper then you control board you may want to start replacing the probe. When the oven probe stops working it can prevent the bake element from turning on or heating. I have posted a link below of the probe key#37.

I trust this information will help you, Thank you for choosing Sears.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issue with your range. From the description you give I suspect the over control is at fault. If the surface control works okay then the voltage and terminal block are most likely okay. I don't suspect both the bake and broil elements broke at the same time. Do you see an error codes? The range control should display an error code such as F10, F30 for something similar. If you changed the terminal block then you may wish to change the control as a do-it-yourself project. Of course the problem might be a simple loose connection. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

I have a kenmore electri range and one of the eyes will go to high occasionally no matter what the setting is on ? model 790.90932601

A:

A non working Range is not something any of us want to see. If you are technically handy, this is a good site to get instruction and fix some things yourself. If you do not feel confident doing your own repairs, an option is to visit Sears Home Services and use the scheduler. While you wait for the expert to review your model, you can check the bottom links for some possibilities. Hope this is of help.

It sounds like the infinite switch that turns the burner on and off is failing. I recommend you replace the infinite switch for the burner that goes to high.

You can look up and order the parts for the range at Parts Direct

If you have questions reply on this thread and I will be glad to help. If you repair the range yourself, be sure to disconnect the power before removing any panels.

If you are not comfortable repairing the range yourself you can go to Home Services and get a Sears technician to repair it.
