Q:

We have a kenmore oven model #79090812405. The electrical oven control fell out. It is still working but just laying there how do you put it back in?

A:

I understand how difficult it can be to wire the wiring inside of your Kenmore oven. While you are waiting for an expert to respond, I have attached some helpful links below that may provide information to assist you with your question. Have a great day!

Thank you for the links Alina, it will be nice once it is fixed and put back in its place. It is working the wires are not hanging out or anything it literally looked like it was glued on but that did not make sense to me. I am so happy to have found this site and praying that the expert will have an easy fix that does not involve toothpicks! That was one suggestion on a link from above not real comfortable using toothpicks in an oven fix? :)

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If the electronic oven control (EOC) is laying on the range; disconnect the power cord from the power source and not use the range until it has been reinstalled or replaced if it's broken.

The clock/electronic range control is fastened to the console bracket with 4 screws. There is an ear with a hole at each corner of the control. To access the control, disconnect the power cord and then remove the panel from behind the control panel. You may find the ears at the corners of the control board broken. If they are broken, the electronic oven control will need to be replaced.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
