Question and Answers

Q:

Why won't my Kenmore range model 790.90102201, oven turn on?

A:

Someone needs to disconnect power to the range and remove the panel that covers the back of the control area of the range. Connect power back and turn the oven on bake at 350. Read the voltage between terminals DLB in and L1, it should read 220-240 volts ac. This will confirm the correct voltage is coming into the control. If this voltage is off there is a problem in the wiring between the control and the terminal block in the range.

If this voltage is good read the voltage between DLB out and BA. This should read 220-240 volts ac. If this voltage is not there the control is bad. If the voltage is good the bake element is bad or a wire is broken between the control and the element.

Q:

Why is my Kenmore range not working correctly?

A:

From what you are describing it sounds like the control board has failed. If the commands are not responding to the buttons you are pushing then the control will need to be replaced.
