I also noticed all the igniters spark, I verified the igniters low setting is regulated correctly by turning the furnace from hi to low quickly.

Since the burners are all sparking, you could still have a problem with the ports in the burner around that igniter on the ones that won't ignite. Make sure that the burner heads are cleaned thoroughly and have no clogs in that area. Make sure that the burner heads are properly positioned and that the caps are in place.

These tips may help you with this ignition problem. If not, then you will probably need to have a service technician physically examine the range. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Reconnect the power cord and set the time of day. Program a "Self Clean" cycle. Press Flex Clean and then enter 2:00 using the number pads. Press "Start" and then wait one minute. After one minute of pressing "Start"; press Stop/Clear and wait to see if the door unlocks. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If the door does not unlock then it may have a faulty oven control, door lock mechanism or door switch. I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.

You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your reply. I tried all of that and still no go. Where is the door switch/sensor? Could that be the problem? I cannot find it. The door has been slight ajar for a few years. Hinges?

A:

Richard: The door switch is located on the oven frame. It will be in the upper left hand corner behind the corner of the door. Push in on that corner of the door and keep it pressed in and then repeat the steps I provided in the first response. If the door is not shutting properly then I will need both left and right door hinges replaced. The hinge kit needed will be part #5304445976 and I recommend calling a service technician to remove and replace the hinges.

Q:

How do I reprogram my Kenmore gas range model 790.79363401 after an F10 error message?

A:

The F10 error code indicates that the control detects a runaway temperature. If the oven is not overheating, this can be caused by a bad oven temperature sensor probe. It will be hard to verify that the probe is bad since the fault does not occur until the oven heats up. A technician is normally needed to diagnose and repair this type of failure.

You can try unplugging the range and replacing the oven temperature sensor probe if you want to fix this problem yourself. The sensor protrudes through the back wall of the oven. If replacing the oven temperature sensor probe does not fix this problem, then the electronic oven control board may need to be replaced.
