To replace the oven ignitor you will need to remove the bottom of the oven. I have provided you with an image below of the two screws that need to be taken out first. Lift the back of the bottom up so the front can clear the lip it is under. The ignitor should now be visible. Remove the two screws that secure the ignitor. The wires are connected behind the drawer. I have provided you with the instructions for removing the drawer. Once the drawer is out you should be able to see the ignitor wires. Most ignitors sold are universal fit. You will have to cut the wires to the old wires and reuse the connectors. The new ignitor should come with wire nuts to make the properly connect the wires. Once the wires are connected you can reassemble the oven. Make sure to unplug the range before attempting any repairs.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

On a gas range you do not have a bake element. You have a bake igniter that lights the gas for the bake burner. This type of testing will require using an ohmmeter. First, unplug the power cord or remove power to the range. Please see the images below from the service manual for step by step instructions with pictures on checking, accessing & replacing the bake igniter on your Kenmore gas range. Other possibilities; safety valve, oven clock control or wiring harness.
