The oven not heating can be inconvenient and keep you from making some baked goods. I am adding a link below that will provide you with some good information to help you with your question while you wait for your expert response.

That link for a previous answer that Joseph P. posted in the above response should help you with this oven failure in your range. If that igniter is glowing but the burner will not light, you could have a gas supply problem for the oven or a weak igniter. If the range was recently moved, you can check the oven service shut-off valve that is shown in the image below. That tab shown in the bottom photograph should be in the "on" position.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine and repair the range, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Q:

My oven will not light, can anyone help?

A:

It sounds like the electronic oven control (clock) on your range has failed. To verify this someone needs to pull the range away from the wall and disconnect the electricity to the range.

Remove the screws holding the cover on the back of the control panel and remove the cover.

Connect the electricity to the range and set the control on bake and 350. Measure the voltage between the yellow wire on the BA terminal of the control and the white wire just to the left of the yellow wire.

You should read 120 volts ac. If you don't the control is bad. If you do the problem is probably in the wiring and you will need a technician to diagnose the problem.
